This project falls within the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) applied to low-resource languages, with a specific focus on the Bandjoun dialect, a variant of the Ghomala’ linguistic group spoken in Cameroon.
The primary objective is to design and develop linguistic processing models and tools tailored to under-documented languages, overcoming challenges such as the scarcity of annotated data, limited linguistic resources, and a lack of existing digital infrastructure.
